Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance System

In efforts to enhance covert situational awareness in the battlefield, the US Army has adopted the Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS).

Making use of revolutionary technology, the palm-sized unit seeks to bridge the gap between the ground and aerial surveillance.

At only 6.6 inches, it is extremely lightweight and can fly up to 25 minutes at a time.

It moves at maximum speeds of about 13.52 mph and is almost completely silent.

Providing visual awareness both day and night, the system offers a live footage for distances of up to 1.24 miles.

The PRS stealthily scans the surroundings for threats, flying either independently or under soldiers’ control.

By virtue of its combination of features, small profile and low audible and visual signature, it significantly increases security during covert operations. Most importantly, it has what it takes to save precious lives.
