The new NIO EP9, courtesy of a Chinese tech startup, might just be the fastest electric car in the world.
With 1360 horsepower and 4 electric motors in its beautiful body, this baby goes from 0 to 60 in a mere 2.7 seconds and can achieve the top speed of 200 mph (313 km/h).
If you’re sceptical about electric cars because of their constant need to be recharged after a short time, you’d be surprised that this awesome car has a range of 265 miles, a swappable battery and an ability to be fully charged in 45 minutes.
If you’re still skeptical, then here’s this – it set a new groundbreaking record around the famous Nürburgring track for the fastest lap – 07:05.120 minutes.
Not too shabby for any car, especially an electric one. Add to that an amazing design, crazy specs and full advantage of aerodynamics, and you’ve got yourself a winner.
