The Black Villa is a contemporary single-family house designed by architect Reza Mohtashami.
It is an impressive piece of modern architecture. It sits in striking contrast with the surrounding greenery and hills.
If the scenery looks familiar to you it is because the Black Villa is situated in Harriman State Park.
It is the second-largest park in the state of New York with 200 miles of hiking trails available for outdoor enthusiasts.
However, if you’d rather stay indoor in the Black Villa than hike, no one would blame you. The villa features immaculate interior design, including an enormous skylight in the main hall.
The skylight sits directly above a pit couch – a cozy nest of cushions and pillows built into the floor.
As for the exterior, the Black Villa is nestled right on a hill so its grassy roof merges with the driveway.
There is also, of course, the view of the Harriman State Park that you can admire from your own personal pool.
