Neuroon Open: Smart Sleep Mask
No matter how much advancement in science we make, sleeping and dreaming still remains a mystery. One day you can wake up more chipper than ever after sleeping for only four hours.
Another day you can feel groggy and tired after spending at least eight hours asleep. But the mystery of sleep gets much closer to being solved with Neuroon Open: Smart Sleep Mask .
It seems like Neuroon Open can do everything. First of all, it increases the chances of entering lucid dreaming, not unlike this lucid dream headband. But the capabilities of this sleeping mask do not end there.
Neuroon Open can measure the factors that are connected with your sleep such as brain waves, your body’s temperature, movement, pulse and so on.
Based on this data it can not only induce lucid dreaming but also figure out (with your help via app) what is the best moment for you to wake up to feel well-rested every morning.
The data Neuroon Open collects is also used to involve your surroundings into your sleeping pattern. For example, if you decide on listening to music before sleep, this sleep device will notice when you start falling asleep and lower the music’s volume.
Additionally, it is better for our bodies to sleep in lower temperatures but it can be uncomfortable for you to actually fall asleep in colder surroundings.
That’s why Neuroon Open can be synced with your AC and lower the temperature once you’re already asleep and don’t notice the change.
Same goes for you waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom or have a drink of water.
When the sleep mask notices that you are awake in late hours it will gradually turn on the lights in order to spare your eyes from being temporarily blinded.
Neuroon Open can also be used for smart guided meditation.
This is what this device can do for now at least. But the developers of this product have announced that Neuroon Open will be an open source product.
This means that you and others can see for themselves what both the software and hardware look like, tinker with them, and improve them for the benefits of the community as a whole. Seems like Inception is on its way to becoming a reality.
