Reconnect Sustainable Island Living is a resort project where you can reconnect with nature, with yourself and with others.
We are living such busy lives that it’s no wonder that we need plenty of time to rest.
So, how about a holiday on a remote island, living in total peace with nature. Sounds like a perfect place to get away from always being online and busy.
This resort is already under construction on a small island called Buka Buka in Indonesia.
The first bungalows, a jetty and a gazebo are already in place with a restaurant starting to take form. The biggest challenge for the resort is the lack of fresh water, which is also hard to come by.
What the island needs is a desalination system, which could take sea water and desalinate around 1,500 liters of water every day.
That would be more than enough for the resort and the locals, whose lives will become much easier with easy access to fresh water.
That is why the resort started a fundraiser to get a desalination system.
With that installed, the Reconnect Sustainable Island Living will make the perfect holiday destination and a hideway from all our frustrations.
